Proof needs context
An isolated number impresses. A well-documented case makes understanding possible.
Results depend on context, period, investment, offer, market, operation, customer service and execution. That is why the cases from Arte com Pimenta present not only the result, but the problem, the decisions, the limits and the learnings involved.
- A result without a period is incomplete.
- A percentage without a baseline can mislead.
- A platform metric is not automatically a business result.
- Correlation is not automatic proof of causation.
- Creative work does not need to be given invented numbers.
- Confidentiality must be respected.
- Learnings have value too.
Three types, three requirements
Not every piece of work is a result case — and saying so is part of the method.
Calling everything a success case is the shortest path to meaning nothing. Each type below requires something different in order to be published, and the type is identified on every page.
Result case
Context, challenge, strategy, execution and verifiable indicators, with the period, the source and the calculation method declared.
Requires recorded evidence and authorisation to publish numbers.
Strategic project
A real problem, the decisions taken, the solution developed and real deliverables — without publishable measurement, whether for reasons of time, access or authorisation.
Demonstrates capability without presenting a result that cannot be supported.
Creative work
Real pieces, campaigns, campaign identity, pages and materials, with context, objective, concept and applications.
Requires permission to use. It is not given numbers that were never measured.
This area is being rebuilt to a stricter standard.
A case is only published here when there is documented context, evidence of the result, a declared period and a valid authorisation from the client. The earlier work is under review against that standard, and none of it goes back online before meeting it. In the meantime, the solutions describe what we do and the diagnosis is the most direct route to a concrete conversation.
